Your Facilitation Guide

How we can help special educators

Most Learning Lab, Academic Resource, or Study Skills classes focus on completing homework but miss the opportunity to teach students critical executive function skills—like time management, task prioritization, and organization—that they need to succeed independently.

Challenges we can support

Here are some common challenges special education departments face that our workshops are designed to address:

  • Supporting Productive Dialogues Between General Education and Special Education Staff

  • Developing Clear Goals and Objectives for Learning Labs and Academic Resource Classes

  • Increasing Staff Confidence in Supporting Neurodivergent Students

  • Aligning Staff on a Unified Vision and Mission for Special Education Programs

  • Addressing Teacher Burnout and Boosting Staff Retention

  • Working Effectively with Para Educators / Instructional Assisstants
